URBAN PARKS CREATE COMMUNITIES

29 September 2021

Nowadays, people are looking for cultural and entertainment activities that allow them to share and enjoy moments of leisure with their family and friends. One of these alternatives is found in urban parks, spaces where you can not only enjoy attractions and participate in dynamics, but also learn, through non-formal education and activities that demand to be transmitted to people of any age.

It is important that these spaces have all the necessary characteristics for their recreational use, since as mentioned in the United Nations publication, "Urban Public Spaces, Poverty and Social Construction", what defines the nature of the space is the USE and not legal status. It defines then that "public space supposes, public domain, collective social use and diversity of activities" in this way it will favor the quality of life and well-being of the population (Segovia and Jordán 2005).
